In 1972 the building at 51 Walden St in Concord Ma was acquired and turned into a performance arts space by the organization that eventually became 51 Walden in 2015.
Opera at 51 Walden started in 2007 when Alan Yost began to arrange benefit performances of vocal / orchestral music to help raise funds to maintain the building. Productions have grown in size and number since then, currently with two productions per year.
The group took the name Opera51 in 2015 and is continuing this long tradition of performing operatic works to support our parent organization, 51 Walden, in its mission to maintain the facility as a performing arts center.
If you would like to help us to continue to save this unique building, you can donate directly to 51 Walden
